Little Tales Garden (“we”, “us”) creates personalised illustrated children’s books. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights.

1. What we collect

• Account data: your email address (via Google sign-in).
• Story inputs: the child’s name, age, gender, theme, and any details you type to personalise the story.
• Photos: photos you upload of the child (and optionally other characters) so we can create an illustrated likeness.
• Generated content: the story text and illustrations we create for you.
• Order & usage data: print/shipping details (if you order a printed book), and basic product usage.

2. How we use it

To generate your book (writing the story and illustrating a character that resembles the uploaded photo), to deliver downloads and printed orders, to operate and improve the service, and to contact you about your books.

3. Who we share it with (sub-processors)

We use the following service providers to run the product. Your photos and/or story inputs may be processed by them solely to provide the service:

• OpenAI — generates the illustrations (uploaded photos are sent as a reference).
• Anthropic (Claude) — writes the story and analyses the uploaded photo to describe the character.
• Supabase — database & authentication.
• Cloudflare R2 — secure file storage for photos and generated images.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing (for paid orders).
• Gelato — print & fulfilment of physical books.
• Resend — transactional email.

OpenAI and Anthropic do not use data sent via their APIs to train their models, and delete API data within about 30 days (retained only for abuse monitoring). We do not sell your data.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your tales, photos, and account data until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting a tale removes its pages, characters, and images. Where the law requires (e.g. payment/tax records), we may retain limited, anonymised records.

5. Children’s data

This product processes photos and details about children, provided by a parent or guardian. By uploading a photo you confirm you are the child’s parent or legal guardian and consent to the processing described here. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts themselves.

6. Your rights & deleting your data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the account menu (avatar → “Delete my data”). This permanently erases your account, tales, characters, and uploaded photos, and we’ll email you to confirm when it’s complete. Depending on your location you also have rights to access, correct, export, or restrict processing of your data — contact us to exercise them.
